Home-value emails
What Trevy's home-value email offers, who gets it, and how homeowners ask what their home is worth.
Updated October 20, 2026
Trevy's home-value email offers to pull comparable sales, or comps, on a home the contact has been looking at. It's a short offer from the agent, not a valuation: Trevy doesn't run the comps itself.
Who gets it
Only contacts who are buying, or buying and selling. The comps are on a home they're thinking of buying.
Everyone else gets something in its place:
- Contacts Trevy can't place yet, and contacts who seem to be looking at rentals, are asked once what they're looking for. See Check-ins and short follow-ups.
- After that question, and for sellers and past clients, the step becomes a market update when the contact has a city on their Follow Up Boss record. Without a city, the step is skipped.
- Agents, lenders and vendors get no follow-up emails at all.
When it goes
In the default flows:
- New Lead, day 21. If the contact hasn't looked at any homes, a check-in goes instead.
- Property Hot, day 2. This flow starts when a contact looks at 5 or more homes in a week, so there's usually a home to name.
What's in the email
Two sentences from the contact's assigned agent, sent through FUB.
- When the contact has looked at homes, the email names one of them by address and offers to pull comps on it. It offers; it never says the comps are already done.
- When there's no home to name, it offers to run comps on any home they're interested in, and explains what that means in plain words.
Trevy writes the subject line. When the contact replies, the reply reaches their agent and every flow they're in pauses. See When a contact replies.
When a homeowner wants their home's value
Homeowners have two ways to ask.
- On their market report. The report page has a "What's Your Home Worth?" section with a Get Your Home Value button. It opens a short form: name, email, phone, street address, city, state and ZIP. The homeowner then sees "Your Valuation Is On The Way". Trevy sends the request to FUB as a Seller Inquiry from the source "Trevy Market Report", with the tags market-report-lead, seller-intent and source:market-report, and adds a note titled "Market Report Lead" with the property address. Trevy doesn't produce the valuation; that's up to the agent. From then on, Trevy counts the contact as selling. See Monthly market reports.
- In a check-in. A check-in to a past client or someone the agent knows, when it isn't following up on an earlier email, asks how they're doing and offers to tell them what their home is worth today. See Check-ins and short follow-ups.
What you can change
- Home-value emails go with Market updates on the Emails page, under Follow-up emails. Switch Market updates off and home-value emails stop too: each is passed over and the next email keeps its day. A check-in sent in a home-value email's place follows Check-ins and notes instead.
- How Trevy sounds on Your page changes how it sounds: Warm, Professional or Casual.
