Tour requests

How a contact asks for a tour from a listing alert, how the agent confirms it, and what lands in Follow Up Boss.

Updated October 20, 2026

With tour times on, a contact can ask their agent for a tour straight from a listing alert. Nothing is booked until the agent confirms.

Turning them on

Tour times are off to start. Switch them on with Tour times on the Emails page. The switch needs sending through Follow Up Boss on. Tour times go in listing alerts, so they also need Follow-up emails and New listings on, and a page on Your page. The line under the switch says what's still missing, for example "On, but tour times go in new-listing emails, which are switched off."

Switching tour times off also closes the booking links already sent.

What the contact sees

Under the first home in a listing alert: "Want to see it? Tap a time, or pick your own:", then up to three days with two times each and an Other time link. A line after the listings offers a time for any other home. The times appear only when the email has room, the agent's time zone is known, your team has a page on Your page, and the agent has an open time in the next 7 days.

A time opens a booking page covering the next 7 days, with the agent's photo, name and company from their own page on Your page. For an agent with no page of their own, it shows the team's page with the agent's name and no photo. Tours start between 9am and 7pm in the agent's time zone, every 30 minutes, at least 3 hours ahead, and never on top of the agent's Follow Up Boss appointments. Calendar events not made in FUB aren't seen.

A tour holds 45 minutes. The contact can add up to three more homes, each adding 30 minutes, by pasting a Zillow, Redfin or Realtor.com link or typing an address. They can leave a note before sending the request.

What lands in FUB

  • An appointment titled "Tour request:" and the address, with the agent and contact invited and the contact's note in the description. FUB sends no invitation. It holds the agent's calendar, using your appointment type with "show" or "tour" in its name if you have one.
  • A task for the agent to confirm the tour, with a reminder.
  • An email to the agent with a Confirm or pick another time button. If the contact added homes, it asks the agent to check they're still available.

The agent answers

The button opens a page with Confirm and Offer other times.

  • Confirm renames the appointment "Tour:" and the address, and emails the contact a confirmation from the agent through FUB: the home's photo, the time, directions and the agent's details, Google Calendar and Apple or Outlook buttons, and a link to pick another time.
  • Offer other times removes the hold and emails the contact the agent's next open times.

Unanswered after 15 minutes, the agent gets a reminder email; after 30, the team lead gets one and can answer for them. Both go only between 8am and 9pm in the agent's time zone. A request still unanswered when its time comes expires: the hold stays, in case the agent handled it another way, and the contact can ask again.

After it's confirmed

  • On the morning of the tour, from 7:30am and at least an hour ahead, the contact gets a reminder from the agent, unless the tour was confirmed in the last 3 hours.
  • If the contact picks another time, the agent gets a new request. Confirming it removes the old appointment.
  • If the agent moves the appointment in FUB, the contact gets an updated confirmation.
  • If the agent deletes a confirmed tour in FUB, Trevy reminds the agent that the contact hasn't been told.
  • If Trevy can't email the contact, for example because they unsubscribed, it tells the agent to let them know directly.

The contact's link works for 14 days after the listing alert, or after the agent's answer if that's later. After that, it asks them to reply to the agent's email.

Tour requests and confirmations appear in the weekly team report. If the team lead gets the daily note, it lists requests still waiting for the agent's answer.
