Timely emails
The one-off emails Trevy can write when a contact does something worth a note, starting with the payment at the latest rate.
Updated October 21, 2026
Besides its regular emails, Trevy can send a single, well-timed email when a contact does something worth answering. The switch is on the Emails page, in the Timely emails card. It's off until you turn it on.
The payment at the latest rate
Right now there is one timely email. When a buyer keeps coming back to the same home, on two or more separate days in the last two weeks, and nobody on your team has reached them since, Trevy emails them from their agent with what that home would cost a month at the latest rate.
The email:
- has the subject "What [address] would cost a month";
- uses the latest price they saw, 20% down and a 30-year fixed loan at Freddie Mac's latest weekly 30-year fixed average, and gives the monthly principal and interest;
- compares that with the payment when they first looked, when it changed by $10 or more;
- ends by asking "Want me to check it's still available?"
It never says the home is still available or that its price dropped. It goes to buyers only, skips homes priced under $50,000, and reaches one contact at most once every 30 days. Follow Up Boss adds the agent's signature.
Turning them on and off
Go to Emails → Timely emails and use the switch. The card reads "Timely emails are on" or "Timely emails are off". While they're on, each email goes out from the contact's agent through FUB.
- Switching them on needs sending through Follow Up Boss. Until sending is on, the switch is greyed out and a yellow note under the Send through Follow Up Boss card says what to do first. See Follow-up emails won't turn on.
- If sending through Follow Up Boss is switched off later, timely emails stop with it. They start again once sending is back on.
- You can switch them off at any time.
If your team tried timely emails in practice before, the card reads "Timely emails are in practice" and "Practice: Trevy decides and writes each one, and sends nothing." The switch shows them running: switch it off to stop practice, then on to start sending.
Guardrails
- Never more than two emails from Trevy to one contact in any 7 days, counting every kind of Trevy email. A timely email waits rather than make it three.
- Never once someone on your team has reached the contact since they started coming back. FUB doesn't say who sent a text, so any text counts.
- None while they're talking with your team: a contact who replied in the last 14 days gets none.
- At most one timely email per contact a day.
- Not within two days of their market report, before or after.
- Not during your quiet hours: 9pm to 8am unless you've set your own under Emails → Quiet hours. See Sending hours and time zones.
- Only contacts you've picked for Trevy, never agents, lenders or vendors, never anyone on your do-not-contact list, and never anyone on your Contacts → Leave out list.
Each timely email uses an email credit.
