Trevy isn't sending emails
A checklist for when Trevy's emails stop, or never start, going out to your contacts.
Updated October 20, 2026
If nobody is getting Trevy's emails, work down this list. Most of it is on the Emails page. The team lead sees it, and so do agents on your team who are an Owner or Admin in Follow Up Boss. If only one contact is missing out, see a contact isn't getting Trevy's emails.
1. Follow-up emails are off
On the Emails page, the Follow-up emails card reads "Follow-up emails are off". Turn it on. If the switch is greyed out, see Follow-up emails won't turn on.
Monthly market reports have their own switch, on the Monthly market report card. When they're off, it reads "Monthly reports are off".
2. Sending through Follow Up Boss is off or needs fixing
Every Trevy email goes out through Follow Up Boss. On the Send through Follow Up Boss card at the top of the Emails page, look for "Not sending through Follow Up Boss", or "Setup needs the steps below." with a list of problems. See fixing problems with sending through Follow Up Boss.
3. FUB stopped accepting Trevy's connection
If Check setup says "Follow Up Boss didn't accept Trevy's connection", see Follow Up Boss didn't accept Trevy's connection.
4. The trial ended, a payment failed, or the plan was cancelled
When the free trial ends without a card, Trevy stops emailing your contacts, and the Emails page says "Your free trial has ended. Add a card in Billing to send." Adding a card in Settings → Billing lets Trevy pick up where it left off. If a payment fails, sending pauses until billing is up to date. A cancelled plan stops sending when its paid period ends. See payment and cancelling.
5. This month's AI email credits are used up
Settings → Billing → AI Email Credits shows how many you've used this month. When they've run out, Trevy holds follow-up emails and timely emails until your credits reset. Market reports don't use credits. See email credits.
6. Nobody is picked
Trevy only emails contacts in the stages and tags you picked under Who Trevy works on the Contacts page. With no stage and no tag picked, Trevy emails no one, and the page says "No stages or tags selected, so no one will receive a report. Pick at least one to start sending." If your picks match nobody, it says "That selection matches no one right now. Nothing will send until it does." See choosing who Trevy emails.
7. It's quiet hours
Trevy doesn't send automated emails during the hours set in Emails → Quiet hours, in your time zone. Monthly reports wait too while Hold them during quiet hours too is on, on the Monthly market report card. See sending hours and time zones.
8. A kind of email is switched off
In Emails → Follow-up emails, each kind has its own switch: New listings, Market updates, and Check-ins and notes. An email of a kind that's off is passed over, and the next one keeps its day.
9. A flow is switched off
Each flow on the Flows page has its own switch. When you switch a flow off, its contacts leave it and its emails stop.
10. Agents' email isn't connected in FUB
FUB sends each email from the contact's assigned agent. If that agent's email isn't connected in Follow Up Boss, FUB skips the email.
It may just be pacing
Trevy sends follow-up emails in small batches every 15 minutes: at most 20 at a time, one per contact, and at most 400 in any 24 hours for your account. That keeps agents' mailboxes well under their daily sending limits. With a large list, emails go out over several days rather than all at once.
Where to check
Home shows Emails sent for the last 30 days, with how many were opened and clicked. The team report also counts the emails Trevy sent through FUB that week, by kind.
If everything above checks out and nothing is going out, email support@trevy.io.
